What we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.
Javvo ("Javvo," "we," "us") provides Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. It applies to the javvo.ai website and to our services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you contact us, request a free AI Visibility Snapshot, or become a client, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, company name, and website, and, depending on the form, your phone number, business type, number of locations, the location or product line you want analyzed, your main competitors, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in that message.
Information about the business being analyzed. To deliver an audit or ongoing service, we process publicly available information about the domain you ask us to analyze: your website's content, structure, and how AI engines and third-party directories describe your business. This is generally business information, not personal information, though it may incidentally include names of personnel listed publicly on your site.
Information collected automatically. javvo.ai is hosted and protected by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We measure how the site is used with two privacy-focused analytics tools, Cloudflare Web Analytics and Plausible Analytics. Both count page views, referring sites, browser and device types, and countries in aggregate. Neither uses cookies, and neither tracks you across websites or over time. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not record the query strings in page addresses, and does not measure visitors connecting from the European Union and European Economic Area. Plausible also records when a visitor requests a Snapshot, confirms that request, downloads one of our reports, or follows a link off the site, along with the campaign a visit came from. These are counts of actions, not records about you, and they are not linked to your name or email address.
Form protection and campaign source. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated script, is submitting them. When you submit a form, we use your IP address to limit repeat requests. If you arrived through a link carrying campaign information (such as a utm_source parameter), your browser keeps that information and the page that referred you in session storage until you close the tab, and sends it to us only if you submit a form, so we know which campaign led to your request.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, health information, financial account numbers, or payment card details. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to: respond to inquiries; review Snapshot requests, including confirming by email that a request came from you; provide, deliver, and improve our services; produce the deliverables you engage us for; send service-related communications (for example, confirmation emails, reports, deliverable notifications); protect our forms from abuse; process payments through Stripe; understand, in aggregate, how our website is used; and comply with legal obligations.
We may use anonymized and aggregated information, including de-identified findings and patterns drawn from client engagements, to improve our methodology and to create case studies and marketing materials, as described in our Terms. Anonymized material cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — to host and secure the website, protect our forms (Turnstile), measure site usage in aggregate (Web Analytics), and store form requests while we review them.
- Plausible Analytics — to measure site usage in aggregate. Plausible is cookieless, collects no personal information, and does not track visitors across websites.
- Google (Gmail / Google Workspace) — to receive and manage email correspondence with you.
- Resend — to deliver form submissions to us, and confirmation and other service-related email from javvo.ai to you.
- Stripe — to process payments. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- AI engine and data providers — when delivering an audit or ongoing service, the domain you ask us to analyze is processed by AI engines and tools including OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, and others as applicable. We send these providers query and domain information necessary to run the analysis; we do not send them your personal contact details for this purpose.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
Snapshot requests. A request you do not confirm by email is deleted automatically after 48 hours. A confirmed request is kept in our request system for 90 days; our email notification of it stays in our inbox like other correspondence. To limit repeat requests, we keep your IP address for 24 hours after you submit a request, and your email address for 7 days after you confirm one. The monthly request counts we keep contain no personal information.
5. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest through our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California residents. California law gives you rights to know what personal information we collect, request that we delete or correct it, and opt out of certain disclosures. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].
Cookies and analytics. javvo.ai sets no cookies and neither of our analytics tools identifies you, so there is nothing to accept or decline on the site. You can still block cookies and scripts in your browser settings.
7. International visitors
Javvo is based in the United States and processes data in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date.
